HYSOME LAW Prof Corp is a newly established full-service law firm located in Irvine, California. Our primary practice areas include civil litigation, commercial law, and U.S. immigration law. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, including but not limited to commercial law, immigration law, and family law. Responsibilities
· Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
· Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
· Assist in the drafting of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
· Engage in litigation processes while maintaining thorough documentation and case files.
· Collaborate with clients to understand their legal needs and develop effective strategies.
· Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting various practice areas, including tribal law & regulations and patent law.
· Utilize legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
Experience
· Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
· Admission to the bar in CA.
· Prior experience in a law office setting is preferred; familiarity with legal administrative tasks is a plus.
· Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
· Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
· Proficiency in legal research methodologies and tools is essential.
· Experience or knowledge in multiple practice areas such as litigation, family law, environmental law, or immigration law will be highly regarded. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This role requires proficiency in various office management tasks, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
· Manage front desk operations, including greeting visitors and handling inquiries
· Operate multi-line phone systems to direct calls and take messages
· Maintain organized filing systems for easy access to documents
· Perform data entry tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
· Assist with calendar management, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
· Provide customer support through effective communication and problem-solving skills
· Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace for document creation, spreadsheets, and presentations
· Conduct proofreading of documents to ensure clarity and correctness
· Support bookkeeping tasks as needed, including invoicing and expense tracking
· Handle clerical duties such as typing correspondence and managing office supplies
· Collaborate with team members to enhance office efficiency
· Prioritize and execute attorney assigned tasks quickly and accurately, while being organized and detail-oriented.
· Review and ensure accuracy of vendor invoices; prepare accurate check requests and timely submit invoices for payment to client or accounting
· Assist in the timely submission of conflict checks
· Consistently provide friendly and helpful telephone support for assigned attorneys
· Recruitment of all staff positions.
· Onboarding, orientation and training of staff as well as assisting with onboarding of attorneys.
· Off-boarding of terminated employees
· Manage office workflow, assess workloads and manage staff assignments.
· Monitor staff attendance, vacations, and other absences/leaves from the office.
· Perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position
· Strong computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
· Bilingual abilities are highly desirable
· Experience as a law firm administration is advantageous
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly
· Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
· Strong management skills with prior direct supervisory responsibility
· Excellent oral and written communications skills
· Strong relationship management skills
· Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills
